Recent: Congressman Clyburn celebrates the designation of the Audubon’s Francis Biedler Forest as a Underground Railroad Network to Freedom site. My research into James Matthews who escaped from bondage into the Four Holes Swamp (now the Biedler Forest) and later wrote of his experiences, is cited as a key part of this recognition.
